Excessive Rainfall in the Southern Plains; Extreme Heat Coming to the Southwest U.S.

Heavy to severe thunderstorms may bring areas of excessive rainfall and flooding over parts of the southern Plains through Friday. A Slight Risk of excessive rainfall has been issued. 🌩️There is a Marginal (Level 1 of 5) risk for severe storms Wednesday afternoon across portions of northern Utah and southwest Wyoming. Any storms that develop over this area will be capable of producing isolated damaging winds, small to medium size hail (except areas near the ID border where there is a low chance for hail up to 1"), and frequent lightning. Remain weather aware if plans take you outdoors on Wednesday!
